REALLY BENT BOARD BURR

The Really Bent Board Burr (RBBB) puzzle was designed by Derek Bosch in 2007. This puzzle is very difficult to make. The burr pieces and the connecting pieces have to be sanded very accurately to their final finish before gluing at the right angle connection points.Minimal sanding of outside corner surfaces is done after the dowels are glued in place.

Derek entered his RBBB into the IPP27 Design Competition.

RBBB has two solutions the first is a level 10-6 and the second is a 20-2. The “result shape” for the first solution is the mirror image of the second. “Both are very difficult and confusing!” says Derek.
